Albert Junior Kile, 82, of Danville, IL, formerly of Marshall, IL passed away 5:38 PM Monday, Nov. 13, 2017 in Hawthorne Inn at Danville, IL. After graduating from Marshall High School, Albert moved to Dayton Ohio to start his apprenticeship in his life’s work as a machinist. Albert then moved back to Illinois where he married his wife Anna and they started their family. Albert worked at many machine shops. In 1971 at the age of 35, Albert started his own business “Kile Machine & Tool Inc” where he worked alongside John Conrad and his three sons, Albert, Stanley and Russell. Albert had a unique talent where he designed many of their products of which many are used throughout the world in the Aerosol Industry. Albert also worked on many other products leading up to “The Internal Pipe Wrench” and received a patent of which he took great pride in. His development of the Depth and Diameter Gauges are the industry standard and are used around the world. He also designed the eight segment collet that changed the way Aerosol cans were crimped around the world. Some of the developments he made in the Aerosol Industry were published in the Aerosol Handbook. Albert was loved and respected by many for his kindness and honesty and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Albert was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church where he was baptized as a young boy. Albert was a member of the Danville Coin Club and he was a huge fan of Cardinal Baseball, the Chicago Bears and Illini Basketball. Albert’s legacy continues to live on through his sons as they continue to run the business he founded. Junior was born Oct. 5, 1935 at Marshall, IL, the son of Albert and Gerdie Johnson Kile. He married Anna C. Walker on Oct. 4, 1959 at Marshall, IL. Surviving are his wife, Anna; three sons, Albert L. (Mary) Kile, Stanley (Penny) Kile and Russell Kile all of Danville, IL; grandchildren, Jennifer Kile, Brandi (Jason) Welsch, Lance Kile and Bradley Kile; great grandchildren, Devyn Kile, Nicholas Welsch and Eric Welsch; siblings, George Kile of Annapolis, IL, Mary Lou Laird of Marshall, Eliza Nell Arbuckle of Marshall, Henry Kile of Columbus, GA and Nina Shipman of Lexington, KY and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by siblings, Bert Kile, William Kile, Wilbur Kile, Bertha Jackson and Winona Burnam.
Services in honor of his life will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Pearce Funeral Home in Marshall with Bro. Gene Ellis officiating. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-7 PM Friday at Sunset Funeral Home of Danville. Visitation will also be after 12 Noon Saturday at Pearce Funeral Home.
