She was born January 19, 1949 at Paris, IL, the daughter of Robert and Virginia Meloy Fields. On May 4, 1968, she married Bobbie Newport at Paris, IL and he preceded her in death on February 2, 2024. Surviving is a sister, Jane (Jack) Franklin of Savoy, IL. She was a graduate of Paris High School and Lakeland College. Burial will be in the Darwin Cemetery, rural West Union, IL.
