Barbara L. Pancake, 79, of Marshall, IL passed away Friday, July 10, 2026 at her home with family by her side. She was born October 9, 1946 at Terre Haute, IN, the daughter of Eugene Clark and Dorothy Geheb Clark. On June 28, 1964 she married Floyd Pancake at the Zion United Methodist Church, rural Marshall, IL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jason; a sister, Cynthia Jo Scarbro and a son-in-law, Kenneth Grooms. Surviving are her husband Floyd; a daughter, Beth Grooms of Marshall, IL; grandchildren, C.J. (Michelle) Grooms, Kassie Carpenter and Addison Grooms; great grandchildren , Cash Carpenter and Hallie Jo Carpenter; two brothers, Dennis (Mary Lou) Clark of Indianapolis, IN and Doug (Nadine) Rund of Tolono, IL and many other relatives and friends. Barb loved adventures and went on many with family and friends.  She will be missed by all who knew her.  Barb was a member of the Marshall Baptist Church and a graduate of Marshall High School. Services in honor of her life will be 4:00 PM  Wednesday, July 15th at Pearce Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Cooper officiating. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 to 4:00 PM prior to the service Wednesday.
