Belpha Leroy Troxel, age 95, of Paris, IL passed away at 6:50 AM at Paris Community Hospital in Paris, IL. He was born on March 26, 1918 in Darwin, IL to John and Mamie (Engram) Troxel. He was a retired body shop and parts supervisor. He worked at Frederman Chevy city and Simpson Geokler Chevrolet. He served in the Army during World War 2, during which he survived the attack on Pearl Harbor. He is survived by one son D. Curt (Pam) Troxel of Paris, IL., one daughter Susan (Dr. Paul) Banning of Evansville, IN., Seven Grandchildren Amy (Greg) Sabens of Westfield, IN., Jill (Chris) Riley of Mooresville, IN., David A. Troxel of Paris, IL., Kevin (Jennifer) Banning of Evansville, IN., Kent (Kelly) Banning of Newberg, IN., and Kayren Kissinger of Evansville, IN., one sister Maxine Tharp of Marshall, IL., 13 Great Grandchildren., and several Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by one son James Troxel, one sister Isabel Kiger, two Brothers Ben Troxel and Ralph Troxel and on Great Granddaughter. He was attended the Lake Ridge Christian Church in Paris. Loved Hunting, and was an Avid Mushroom Hunter. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday September 28, 2013 at the Pearce Funeral Home in Marshall, IL with Pastor Shane Mullins Officiating. Burial will follow in the Marshall Cemetery with Military Graveside rites performed by Clark County Post #90 of the American Legion and VFW Post #5975. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Friday September 27, 2013 at the Pearce Funeral Home. For those so desiring memorial contributions may be made to Lou Gehrig's in memory of his son James.
