Marshall, IL Betty L. Turner, 92, of Marshall, IL passed away Friday, July 31, 2015 in the Burnsides Community Care Center at Marshall.

She retired as a 2nd grade teacher of the Marshall School District. Betty was born March 8, 1923 in Parker Twp., Clark Co., IL, the daughter of Lee and Belle Soward Tarble.

Surviving are a daughter, Marjorie (Karl) Perry of Logan, Utah; a son, Thomas (Judy) Turner of Schaumburg, IL ; Six grandchildren and Two Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She was one of the founders of the Clark Co. Genealogical Society and worked there for many years. A graduate of Hot Springs High School, she continued her education by attending Graceland Junior College, Utah State and Indiana State University. Betty was a member of the Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints at Paris, IL.
