Betty L. Walsh, 84, of Marshall, IL passed away 12:05 PM Monday, Dec. 8, 2014 in Union Hospital at Terre Haute, IN.

She was retired from TRW in Marshall after over 20 years of service. She was born Dec. 18, 1920 at Oliver, IL, the daughter of Clyde Hughes and Exie Kennedy Hughes. She married Doit E. Walsh on Aug. 14, 1949 and he preceded her in death on March 3, 2009.

Surviving are a daughter, Lisa (John) Hendrix of Marshall, IL; a granddaughter, Megan Richey of Marshall, IL; a brother, Norman Hughes of Paris, IL; a sister, Norma Hughes of Terre Haute, IN; an aunt, Naomi Dressler of Marshall, IL and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Wendall Hughes and Harry Hughes.

Betty was a loving mother and grandmother and lived for her family. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary of Marshall.

Services in honor of her life will be 10:00 AM Friday at Pearce Funeral Home in Marshall with Rev. Krista Price officiating. Burial will be beside her husband in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Thursday at the funeral home. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Marshall Cemetery Association.
