Beverly J Welsh, 93, of Marshall, IL, passed away Monday, June 29, 2026 in Willowbrook Memory Care, at Marshall, IL. She was born August 16, 1932 in Dennison, IL, the daughter of Glenn and Fay Rollings See. On February 2, 1957 she married Ray A. Welsh , and he preceded her in death on January 3, 2014. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Gary Welsh and two grandsons, Joshua Welsh, and Brett Eitel. Surviving are two sons, David Welsh of Dennison, IL, and Terry (Lisa) Welsh of Marshall, IL. ; two daughters, Debbie (Bob) Hoopingarner of Terre Haute, IN, and Janet (Fred) Eitel of Marshall,IL ; 10 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; twin sister Barbara A Hurst, and sister Linda (Bob) Carpenter, both of Marshall, IL ; a brother, Ed (Brenda) See of Terre Haute, IN, and several nieces and nephews. Prior to her marriage , she was employed by the U.O. Colson company in Paris, IL. She then took on the challenge of being a full time homemaker, raising 5 children, and helping with the work load on the family farm. She specialized in processing frozen eggs to Indiana State Universities hungry students, and delivering warm meals to her family while working in the fields She enjoyed collecting antiques, dolls , beanie babies, Longerberger baskets, and anything else she found interesting. She was an active member of the Marshall Women's Club, Clark County Porkettes, Illinois State Porkettes, Burnsides Guild, and served on several committees, and boards of the Armstrong United Methodist Church. She also spearheaded the planning and construction of the new Armstrong Church that exists today. Other hobbies she found time for included several years of league bowling at the Marshall Bowling Alley, craft work of all kinds, and last, but not least, countless ball games, and any functions family was involved with. As a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she will be sorely missed, but never forgotten. A special thank you to all of the caregivers of Willowbrook Memory Care in Marshall for their unexcelled love and devotion to all of their residents. Private graveside services have been held.
