Billy Gene “Bill” Wiser, 82, of Marshall, IL passed away 8:02 AM Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at his home. He was born Jan. 13, 1939 at Terre Haute, IN, the son of Robert Wiser and Dale Martin Wiser. He married Connie Ziegler on Jan. 29, 1990 in Kentucky. Surviving are his wife, Connie; four daughters, Terri (Everett) Brandt of Bremfield, IL, Tammy Tyler of Springfield, IL, Lisa (Mike) Lobb of Gilbert, AZ and Maggie (Kevin) Murphy of Marshall, IL; step-children, Tim (Cindi) Miles of Marshall, IL, Joe (Rachel) Grant of Dennison, Il and Shelly (David) Cook of Marshall, IL; two brothers-in-law, Carl Coble and Jack (Jeanette) Ziegler; a sister-in-law, Glenna (Gerald) Parr; 32 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a step-son, Jeff Miles; his parents; a step father, Ed Parker and a sister-in-law, Donna Coble. He was the retired owner and operator of Parker Motor Supply in Marshall. He served this nation in the U.S. Army and was a member of Clark Co. Post #90. He was also a member of the Clark County Sportsman’s Club, life member of the NRA, an avid NASCAR fan and was a true and loyal fan of the Chicago Bears and World Wrestling Entertainment. Services in honor of his life will be 3:00 PM Monday at Pearce Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Duke officiating. Military rites will be conducted immediately following the service by Clark Co. Post #90 of the American Legion and VFW Post #5975. Visitation will be after 2:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
