Brooks A. Burns, 39, of Marshall, IL passed away Thursday, January 30, 2014 at his home. He was a farmer and physical therapist at Terre Haute Physical Therapy. He was born June 30, 1974 at Terre Haute, IN, the son of Harold Eugene and Creta Morgan Burns. He married Jennifer Hyer on Oct. 14, 2012 at Terre Haute, IN. Surviving are his wife, Jennifer; two sons, Ethan Burns and Adam Burns; a step daughter, Emma Barrows; a sister, Lori Burns and her fianc̩e Steve Herrington of Paris, IL; two brothers, Brian Burns and Brad (Ann) Burns both of Marshall, IL; his mother Creta Burns of Marshall; his grandmother, Alpha Morgan of Casey, IL and two nieces, Morgan (Andy) Roberts and Nicole Willoughby. He was preceded in death by his father and maternal grandfather, Glenn Jr. Morgan and paternal grandparents, Palmer and Reba Burns. He was a member of the Clark Co. Farm Bureau, a graduate of Marshall High School and Lakeland College and even though he was a licensed physical therapist, his true love was the farm. Services in honor of his life will be 10:00 AM Wednesday at Pearce Funeral Home in Marshall with Rev. David Deal officiating. Burial will be in the Clarksville Cemetery.
