Byron R. “Bud” Stepp, 93, of Marshall, IL passed away 12:40 AM Wednesday, June 2, 2021 in the Gibson Family Center For Hospice Care at Terre Haute, IN. Bud was born at Marshall, IL on Feb. 27, 1928, the son of Robert and Hazel Myers Stepp. He married Eleanor Rhoads in December of 1956. Surviving are his wife, Eleanor; children, Teresa Parker of Marshall, Scott (Mina) Stepp of Farmersburg, Todd Stepp of Marshall, Jeff Stepp of Marshall and Rick Stepp of Marshall; a sister, Doris Collier of Ohio; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death two brothers, Jim and Donnie and three sisters, Thelma, Elizabeth and Margaret. He was a member of Electricians Local #725 and also farmed and truly enjoyed his cattle. Bud was also the inventor of the Steppie Strap. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post #5975. From 1946 until 1949 he served this nation proudly as a United States Marine. Public graveside services will be 2:00 PM Sunday at Zion Cemetery with Bob Miller officiating with military graveside rites provided by VFW Post #5975 and Clark Co. Post #90.
