Catherine J. Low, 94, of Marshall, IL passed away 6:56 AM Thursday, March 31, 2016 in the emergency room at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.

She was born April 16, 1921 in Clark Co., IL, the daughter of Arthur and Effie Bennett Burger. She married James O. Low on Dec. 25, 1963 and he preceded her in death on March 7, 2014.

Surviving are her children, Paul (Ruth) Murphy of Arcola, IL, Becky Low of Oakwood, IL, Robert (Barbara) Lamb of Newberry, SC, David Lamb of Marshall, IL and Sarah (Bruce) Stratman of Evansville, IN; 14 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Beckwith; four brothers and one sister.

She was a charter member of the Marshall Baptist Church. She had been a seamstress for many years and was also involved with childcare.

Services will be 3:00 PM Sunday at the Marshall Baptist Church with Bro. Paul Cooper officiating. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 PM until service time at the church on Sunday. In lieu of flowers, it is requested memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund of the Marshall Baptist Church.
