Chalais Seth Switzer (Chase) left this world unexpectedly on Saturday, May 13, 2023 from an auto accident. He arrived in this world to Dale and Susan Switzer on June 3, 1986. Everyone always said he had an old man's soul in a little boys body. That stayed true all through his childhood and adult years of age. His big heart and his beautiful smile was infectious and could light up any room he entered. He was especially known for his curly ringlets of hair which was always the topic of conversation by many, especially any female who knew him. He was an avid sports player all through school with golf being his all time favorite sport and hobby. He was a graduate from Marshall High School and he was then accepted in premed at college and played on the college golf team. He loved playing in golf tournaments when he could and usually everyone wanted him on their team because they had a better chance at winning. His other favorite hobby was fishing. He found comfort and peace in fishing at his lake house or a family pond and took his nephews or Uncle Chuck with him a lot. Sometimes even when they all should have been home or someplace else doing something productive. He graduated top of his class from American Construction training and then went on to be an excavator operator and worked several years for Kuhn Dirt Works. He was a very dedicated son to his mom and became the man of the house after losing his dad. He was a wonderful big brother and best friend to his sister, Chich, his cousins and the Fun Uncle to his 6 nieces and nephews, Maddox, Easton Dale, Charley Grace, Sawyer Belle, Wrigley Hope and Hudson. He was that guy that if anyone needed anything or needed help, a ride, or just a shoulder to lean on, he was there. After the passing of his dad, his Uncle Chuck became a dad to him not only at work but anytime he needed anything. He looked up to him and he was a big part of his life. Chase was so kind and passionate, he never hesitated to give out hugs and always said "I love You" to family when leaving a gathering. He made a huge impact on so many lives. He is survived by his mom, Susan Switzer, his siter, Chiearra (Chich) Wilson, his brother-in-law Eric, several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and hundreds of friends. He was predeceased by his dad, Dale, his grandparents, David and Genevieve Switzer, his grandparents, Paul and Francie Hollingsworth, his Uncle Steve (Bub) and his great grandparents. His memory will live on through his nieces and nephews who he adored like his own and he will never be forgotten by anyone who had the privilege to know him. All are invited to attend a service in honor of his life being held 1:00 PM Friday at Pearce Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Duke officiating. A visitation for all will be held 4-7 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made directly to his family.
