Claudette Irvin passed gracefully into her Lord's arms on Friday, July 24, 2015.
Claudette was born on June 25, 1954 to Claude Marshall and Eleanor Deckard Marshall. She is survived by her husband, Gilbert Irvin; daughter, Summer Irvin of Park City, Utah; son, Zack Irvin of Marshall, IL; sister, Nancy McClure; niece, Jamie Garry and a nephew Jeff McClure all of Terre Haute, IN. She is also survived by special cousins, Rita Griswald, Wally Ringer, Susie Leturez, Vikki Huntworth and Sandy Eastwood.
She was preceded in death by both parents and aunts, Vivian Sharpe and Marge Eastwood along with uncles, Bill McCoskey and Bob McCoskey and her brother Bill Wright. Claudette's three loves of her life were her faith, Family and friends.
Claudette worked as a Learning Disabilities Aide at Marshall Schools for 13 years before retiring in 2010. She attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marshall where she held different positions in the Women's Altar Society choir and served as a Eucharistic Minister.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated 4:00 PM CST Monday in St. Mary's Catholic Church, 414 S. 6th St., Marshall, IL with Rev. Augustine Koomson officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 PM until service time Monday at the church. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands or Toys for Tots.
