Clayton E. "Dick" Kuhn, 89, Marshall, IL passed away 7:15 PM, August 13, 2015 in Union Hospital at Terre Haute, IN.
He was retired from the U.S. Postal service and had been a carpenter prior to being employed by the postal service. Clayton was born Sept. 19, 1925 at Marshall, IL, the son of Roscoe W. Kuhn ad Nellie Eaton Kuhn. He married Wilma Jane Frye on June 25, 1948 and she preceded him in death on March 16, 2012.
Surviving are his children, Debra (Larry) Dickson of Marshall, IL, Curtis (Mary) Kuhn of Mansfield, TX, Sheila (Kevin) Davidson of Marshall, IL, Vanessa (Danny) Pinkston of Clarksville, KY and Darrell (Kathy) Kuhn of Marshall, IL; grandchildren, Jason Kelly, Aimie Smith, David Kelly, Daniel Kuhn, Leslie Moran, Matthew Davidson, Kristen Sullivan, Jordan Davidson, Justin Kuhn, Amber Kuhn, Lucas Floyd, Charity Floyd and Aaron Floyd and 19 great grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Inez Lindy and Leota Alexander and a brother, Max D. Kuhn.
He as a member of the Marshall Church of Christ and the Paris Church of Christ. He served this nation in the US Army and was a member of Clark Co. Post #90 of the American Legion and VFW Post #5975. He loved wood working and was a collector of clocks. He will always be remembered as never meeting a stranger.
Services in honor of his life and confirmation of his faith will be 10:00 AM Monday at the Marshall Church of Christ with Bro. Gordon Wonsey and Bro. David Grubb officiating. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery with military graveside rites. Visitation will be 3-6 PM Sunday at Pearce Funeral Home and one-hour prior services at the church on Monday.
