Daniel G. Webster, 76, of Bedfrod, IN, formerly of Marshall, IL passed away 2:40 PM Friday at his residence. He had formerly been employed by the Marshall School District Unit C-2, Effingham Equity and had been a semi-driver. The occupation he truly loved was farming and he farmed for many years. Dan was born June 12, 1944 in Elbridge Twp. of Edgar County, IL, the son of William F. and Mary Lamb Webster. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert L. Webster and Billy Joe Webster and a sister, Mary Frances. He married Virginia G. Mercer on Sept. 7, 1968 at the Bell Ridge Christian Church, rural Paris, IL. Surviving are his wife, Virginia; three daughters, Amy Webster of Columbus, IN, Stacy (Jim) Waller of Bedford, IN and Whitley (Eric) French of Mt. Pleasant, MI; grandchildren, Layton Waller, Jameson Waller and Ilana Waller and four sisters, Elizabeth (Charles) Humphrey, Wilma (Maurice) Johnson, Cynthia Brown and Cathran (Terry) Goodner. He attended the Trinity United Church and was a 1962 graduate of Paris High School. Private services in honor of his life will be 1:00 PM Thursday at Pearce Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Livingston Cemetery with military graveside rites. A public walk through visitation will be 4-7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Covid 19 guidelines will be followed.
