David B;. Bartley, 55, of Marshall, IL passed away 11:33 AM Friday, JUly 18, 2025 in the emergency room at Horizon Health at Paris, IL. He was a resident of Marshall Rehabilitaiton & Nursing. He was born Nov. 14, 1969 at Danville, IL, the son of Ivan and Sandra Flynn Bartley who preceded him in death as well as a brother, Scott Harding. Surviving are a brother, George Bartley of Peoria, IL and a sister, Angela Fallert of Terre Haute, IN; a niece, Kayla Bradfield of Danville, IL and many friends. David was a wonderful son, brother and friend to those who got the honor of meeting him. He loved fast, cars and motorcycles and he loved to cook. He lived by his own rules in life from the very beginning. He spent time working with troubled youth, helping them take a better path in life and make better choices than he had made in life. He was loyal to his family and would help anyone in need if he could. He loved his fur child kitty, Precious, most in life and she will always be his “pretty girl”. David will be remembered most, though, for the joy that he brought to those around him. His ability to make those around him smile and laugh is unmatched. He was full of light, a beacon for anyone struggling to get through their day. He was grateful for the small things and took nothing for granted. David spent the last six months of his life surrounded by and loved by the staff at Marshall Rehab and Nursing. He loved them all so very much and filled his days joking with them and making them laugh. He also loved to tell everyone that Kylee was his favorite. We will all forever miss his smile and laugh. Memorial services will be held 5:00 PM Saturday, August 23rd at Pearce Funeral Home in Marshall. Online condolences are being accepted at pearcefuneralservices.com.
