Dean Huffington, 90, of West Union, IL passed away 6:20 PM Thursday, April 16, 2015 in Regional Hospital at Terre Haute, IN.

He was a retired Clark co., IL farmer. Dean was born Jan. 3, 1925 at West Union, IL, the son of Fred Huffington and Beulah Brown Huffington. He married Rosalie McDaniel on June 12, 1945 and she preceded him in death on Feb. 21, 2006. Surviving are two sons; Harry Dean (Vicki) Huffington of West Union, IL and Mike (Cathy) Huffington of West Union, IL; six grandsons, Tim Huffington, Nick (Alissa) Huffington, Jay (Michelle) Huffington, Ben (Ashley) Huffington, Andy (Jessie) Huffington and Abraham Huffington; nine great grandchildren; two brothers, E.J. "Jack" Huffington of Marshall and Dale (Joann) Huffington of Marshall; nieces and nephews and a special friend, Joan Turner. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Spangler; a brother-in-law, Norman Spangler, a sister-in-law, Elsie Lou Huffington and an infant brother, Paul.

He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Marshall. Dean was also a member of the Marshall Mutual Insurance Co. Board of Directors for many years and the Ruritan Club at West Union.

Services in honor of his life will be 3:00 PM Sunday at Pearce Funeral Home in Marshall with Rev. Judy Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be 12 Noon until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
