Deborah S. Pence, 50, of Charleston, IL, formerly of Marshall, IL passed away 4:50 PM Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at her residence following a lengthy battle with cancer. She loved to live, love and laugh. She was born on Feb. 15, 1962 at Terre Haute, IN, the daughter of Fenton and Judith Craven Stam Quick. She married Michael Pence on Nov. 5, 1977 at St. Louis, MO. Surviving are her husband, Michael; her children, Christopher (Brandy) Pence of Terre Haute, IN, Nathan (Charity) Pence of Westfield, IL and Amanda (Joshua) Due of Charleston, IL; a granddaughter, Cheyanna Pence; her mother of Marshall; a brother, John Herbert Quick of Woodland, IL; a sister, Rebecca Ann (David) Green of Waseca, MN and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father; paternal grandparents, John and Carrie Fern Quick and paternal grandparents, Herb and Irene Stam. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Marshall and a graduate of Watseka High School. She was a full time Mom and loved to garden, shop and antiquing. Services in celebration of her life will be 3:00 PM Sunday at the First Christian Church, 902. 6th St., Marshall, IL with Bro. John Cutshall officiating.
