Dennis Allen Lindley, 89, of Marshall, IL passed away 11:15 AM Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2019 at Harrison’s Crossing’s at Terre Haute, IN. He was retired from the former Velsicol Chemical Corp. at Marshall. Dennis was born Dec. 11, 1930 at West Union, IL, the son of Raymond and Margaret Tingley Lindley. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two wives, Juanita Head and Norma Lindley. Surviving are his children, Georgann (Randy) Welsh of Dennison, IL, Allen (Suzanne) Lindley and Randy (Nancy) Lindley both of Terre Haute, IN and Kelly (Peter) Quinn of Wesley Chapel, FL;hiss grandchildren, Matt (Shannon) Welsh, Marc (Chelsea) Welsh, Dana (Shelly) Lindley, Christopher (Katherine) Lindley, Gabriel Quinn, Grace Quinn, Faith Quinn and Brandi (Josh) Ruark and great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Nathan, Drew, Kaesen, Cooper, Colton and Kaylee. Al was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Marshall. He was a nationally recognized trap shooter and had been awarded for 100,000 singles from the American Trap Shooting Association and had been a member of the IL State Trap Shooting Association for over 50 years. He always enjoyed telling stories, sharing a laugh and talking about his grandkids. Services in honor of his life will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Pearce Funeral Home with Pastor Billie Ray Ulrey officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
