DiAnna Faye (Paulsen) Robinson, 64, of Sandwich, IL, formerly of Martinsville, IL passed away Saturday, December 15, 2012 at her home. She was born March 4, 1948, the daughter of Charles Paulsen and Joy Thompson Paulsen. Her passion in life was caring for others. She was a nurse at Sandwich Rehabilitation and Health Care Center and had previously worked nineteen years at Jennings Terrace Nursing Home at Aurora, IL. She was a member of the Cornerstone Church at Sandwhich, IL, a graduate of Martinsville High School and a college graduate of Ivy Tech at Terre Haute, IN. Survivors include her three children, Joy (Christopher) Robinson-VanGilder, Lewie (Keliy Butti Reno) Robinson Jr. and Jesica (James) Solomon II; a special friend, Joseph Bisztriczky; seven grandchildren, Brooke, Brayden, Gunner, Grant and Faith VanGilder, Kyle Robinson and Zoe Solomon; several nieces and nephews including BeLinda Black, Carlotta (Rick) Athey, Suzanne (Roger) Biggs, Christopher Black, Leah Black, Lena Myerscough and Chassity Black; several aunts, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Gerald "Red" Tharp; her parents, Charles and Joy Paulsen; her mother-in-law, Wilma Jean Bowen; her sister, Linda Paulsen and a nephew, Rob Black. Services in honor of her life will be 1:00 PM Thursday at Pearce Funeral Home in Marshall with Bro. Art Orndorff officiating. Burial will be in the Ridgelawn Cemetery at Martinsville, IL. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
