Donald E. Hutchens, 92, of Martinsville, IL passed away 1:33 AM Wednesday, March 4, 202 in the Marshall Rehabilitation and Nursing. He was a retired farmer and had served on the Board of FS and was a member of the Clark County Farm Bureau. Don was born Nov. 23, 1927 in rural Clark County, IL, the son of Lewis and Rosa Brown Hutchens. He married Juanita E. Wilson on June 4, 1951 at Martinsville, IL and she preceded him in death on Nov. 6, 2014. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Debra Hutchens and a grandson, Josh Hutchens. Surviving are three sons, Michael E. (Karen) Hutchens and Charles F. (Barbara Hawker) Hutchens both of Martinsville, IL and Kenneth A. (Lynn) Hutchens of Marshall, IL; grandchildren, Hillary (Jeremy) Deckard, Justin (Jessi) Hutchens, Jenny (Jacob) Francis, Cheyenne (Colby) Kennedy and Brandon (Brandie) Hutchens and great grandchildren, Lilly Deckard, Layla Deckard, Gabriel Deckard, Kaiden Hutchens, Charlee Jo Francis, Brody Francis, Zada Ruth Hutchens, Zenric Hutchens Zoey Hutchens, Rosie Hutchens and Colton Wall. Don served this nation in the U.S. Army and was the longest living member of the Martinsville American Legion. For many years, he had been a supporter of the Shriner’s Hospitals for Crippled Children. Services in honor of his life will be 10:00 AM Monday at Pearce Funeral Home in Marshall with Pastor Billie Ray Ulrey officiating. Burial will be in the Auburn Cemetery, rural Clark County, IL.
