Doris M. Helm, 89, of Vandalia, IL passed away Wednesday, Sept., 9, 2015 at her daughter's home in Marshall, IL.

She was born Sept. 29, 1925 at Vandalia, the daughter of Lonnie and Helen Crandall Isbell. She married Edward J. Helm on Sept. 7, 1947 and he proceeded her in death on Feb. 27, 2014.

Doris played the piano beautifully and was famous for her pies. She loved cross stitching, traveling and was devoted to her fmaily.

She is survived by her daughter Jan (Pete) Manuel of Marshall, IL; grandson, Chris (Kim) Savage of Covington, GA; great granddaughters, Caroline and Kinley Savage both of Covington, GA and two sisters, Sue (Don) Musgrave of St. Charles, MO and Donna Cunningham of Kansas City, O. In addition to her husband and Parents she was preceded in death by her siblings, Tom, Darrell, Corky, Jane and Betty.
