Dorothy Beatrice Green Welsh passed away at Willowbrook on May 25, 2026, she was born March 22, 1931 (Greene County Indiana); the daughter of Leonard Rue and Gladys Leona Green. Dorothy would some-times introduce herself as Dorothy Green in her green suit from Greene County. Dorothy lived on the farm in Green County and attended three grade schools - Prairie - Brown - Dean. After Graduation from grade school, she attended Terre Haute Commercial College and was later employed at the Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company as a book keeper - (When they moved to Horseheads, New York) she went to work at Union Hospital as Admitting Secretary. From there to Marshall, Illinois - Married and raised three sons - Larry Joseph, Keith Leonard, and Bruce Walter. Dorothy loved living on the farm and being a farm wife. There was three daughter-in-laws; Debra, Vicki, Marvona, and two grandchildren, four step-grandchildren. After she divorced, she moved back to Terre Haute and lived at Greenbriar Village, then bought her home at Kings Court and finally to Sycamore Manor retirement home. Dorothy had two sisters, Rosemary and Thelma; three brothers, Chauncy Eugene, Bernard Albert, and Vernal Wilbur (Buddy); and three sister-in-laws, Doris, Mary Ruth, Phyllis.
