Ellen R. Wright, 61, of Vandalia, IL, formerly of Marshall, IL passed away Sunday, August 26, 2012 at her home. She was most recently employed as a receptionist at FAYCO at Vandalia, IL. She was born July 24, 1951 at Grandview, IL, the daughter of John and Jane Thompson Wright. She was the beloved sister of Tavey Wright of Oak Lawn, IL, Virginia Lowe of Terre Haute, IN, David Wright of Buckeye, AZ and Richard Wright of Brazil, IN. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Teresa Wright of Marshall, IL; four nieces; four great nieces and a special great nephew, Aaron Lowe of Oak Lawn, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Connie Wright and a brother, Rev. Dennis Wright. She was a member of the Marshall Church of the Nazarene. She was a 1969 graduate of Marshall High School and received certification as a CNA and was employed many years at the Burnsides Community Health Center and other area nursing facilities. For many years she volunteered as an EMT with the Marshall Ambulance Service and was noted by one by one of her co-workers as being an excellent EMT and she had been involved with the saving of many lives. She loved to read and was a self taught artist. She also enjoyed working with all types of crafts. A beautiful life came to an end. She died as she lived, Everyone's Friend. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Thursday at the Auburn Cemetery, rural Marshall with Rev. David Deal officiating. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Wednesday at Pearce Funeral Home in Marshall.
