Emery F. “Bud” Bloodworth, 84, of Marshall, IL passed away Thursday, March 12, 2020 in the Marshall Rehabilitation and Nursing with family members by his side. Bud served as Mayor of Marshall for four years and served on the City Council for 14 years. He was the owner of Robertson Signs and co-promoter of the Action Track both of Terre Haute. He was born July 26, 1935 in Marshall, IL, the son of Emery E. and Elsie Cole Bloodworth, who preceded him in death as well as a brother, Robert and sister, Maxine. Surviving are his wife, Daisy (Drum) Bloodworth, who he married Jan. 14, 1956 in Marshall, IL; two sons, Bryan (Linda) Bloodworth of Bloomington, IL and Tim Bloodworth of Marshall; grandchildren, Charlene Bloodworth (Chad Hallett) Moore, Cori (Jimmy) Marshall, Blake Bloodworth, Annie (Tyler) Boyer and Cray Bloodworth and great grandchildren, Mia Moore, Colton and Payton Boyer, Charlie and Leo Marshall. Memberships included First United Methodist Church of Marshall, where he served as Trustee, Past Master of Marshall Lodge #133 AF & AM and the Wabash Valley Scottish Rite. He served as president of the Marshall Quarterback Club and the Marshall Jaycees, which he was a charter member; Silent Men’s Club of Terre Haute; Indianapolis 500 Motor Speedway Safety Patrol and the Murdock Racing Club. He also was a co-founder of the Marshall Little League football program and was a loyal Chicago Bears and St. Louis Cardinals fan. Services in honor of his life will be 10:00 AM Tuesday at the Marshall First United Methodist Church with Pastor Robert Sabo officiating. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Monday at Pearce Funeral Home with Masonic Rites at 7:00 PM. Visitation will also be one-hour prior services at the church on Tuesday.
