Emma Jean Cunningham, a lifetime resident of Marshall Illinois passed away on February 4th, 2018 at Regional Hospital, in Terre Haute Indiana with her family by her side. She was born June 29, 1927 at Livingston, rural Clark Co., IL, the daughter of Clarence and Rose Weaver Baggs. She married Charles Junior Cunningham on Dec. 24, 1946 at the Trinity Methodist Church parsonage and he preceded her in death on Jan. 22, 2014. Surviving are a granddaughter, Renee (James) Goldsberry of Marshall; a daughter-in-law, Penny (Junior) Wilson of Marshall, IL; grandchildren, Charli Gene, Daranger Chaz and his mother Michelle Littlejohn, Presley Jane, Logan, Lanie, Blayze and Shalyn. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Gene who passed away, Nov. 11, 1994, a grandson, Charlie Bob who passed away Oct. 4, 2011 and a sister, Betty Dawson. She was formerly employed by Myron R. Tedrick in the Clark Co. Supt. of Schools office for 18 years. She later worked for four years in the office of the Velsicol Chemical Corp. at Marshall. She was a member of the First Christian Church and was a graduate of Marshall High School. Services in honor of her life will be 1:00 PM Thursday at Pearce Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Duke officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Cemetery.
