Erma May Kile, 89, of Marshall, IL went to be with the Lord while being surrounded by her family at 1:04 PM Wednesday, June 6, 2012 in the Burnsides Community Health Center at Marshall, IL. She was born May 22, 1923 in Clark Co., IL, the daughter of William Miller and Anna Berner Miller. She married Ralph Kile on Feb. 18, 1956 at Largo, FL. Surviving are her husband, Ralph; her seven children, Mary Ann (Kermit) Sparks of Terre Haute, IN, Linda (Randy) Ellington of Holts Summit, MO, David (Brenda) Kile of Brazil, IN, Sandra (Jeff) Liebe of Paris, IL, Norma (Dan) Artis of Marshall, IL, Barbara (Brian) Donovan of Haysville, Kansas and Ginny (Ron) Stone of Marshall, IL; eleven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and three step grandchildren, one step great grandchild and several nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law, Marcee Miller of Marshall, IL. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard Miller, Herbert Miller and Leland Miller and four sisters, Geneva Lamb, Hilda Rhoads, Marie Evans and Hermene Kunard and a great granddaughter, Annabelle Faith Bickel. She was a lifelong member of the Zion United Methodist Church. She had served as a volunteer with the Blood Bank, the Blood Mobile and the Marshall Food and Clothing Bank. She attended the Blackhawk School and was a nurse in Detroit, Michigan and several other areas prior to raising her family. She loved to work in her flower garden, enjoyed working puzzles and especially loved her family and grandchildren. Services in honor of her life will be 11:00 AM Saturday at the Zion United Methodist Church, rural Marshall, IL with Rev. David Deal, Rev. Chris Quick and nephew, Robert Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Friday at Pearce Funeral Home of Marshall and one-hour prior services at the church on Saturday.
