Evelyn Milam Hutson, 88, of Paris, IL, formerly of Marshall, IL passed away 1:11 PM Friday, June 15, 2012 surrounded by her family at her residence following an extended illness. She was born June 13, 1924 at LaGrange, GA, the daughter of John B. Underwood and Martha Abrill Rice Underwood. Surviving are a daughter, Linda (Harold) Freeman of Paris, IL; a grandson, Chris (Mike) Freeman of Paris, IL; two sisters, Edna Frost of Georgia and Martha Ezelle Craig of Georgia: two brothers, Eugene (Mary Jane) Underwood of Arkansas and Hilt (Wanda) Underwood of Missouri and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Leon Milam; her second husband, Don Hutson; three brothers, J.W. Underwood, Roland Underwood and George Underwood and a sister, Pauline Johnson. She was formerly employed at the Burnsides Nursing Home of Marshall and volunteered her time at the Marshall Food and Clothing Bank and had served on the election board. Services in honor of her life will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at Pearce Funeral Home in Marshall with Bro. Gene Ellis officiating. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
