Ezra Hollingsworth, 90, of Marshall, IL passed away 6:40 PM Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at his home.
He was born Feb. 22, 1926 in the Castle Finn area of Clark Co., IL, the son of Lloyd and Lucy North Hollingsworth.
Surviving are his wife Ruby, who he married Dec. 26, 1973; children, Cathy (Bennie) Stutesman of Oblong, IL, Norma Jo (Peter) Ersteniuk of Yukon, OK, Rex (Jan) Alcorn of Midwest City, OK, Georgia Alcorn Modglin of Mt. Vernon, IL, Tonya Alcorn David and friend, Jim Moore of Paris, IL, John Alcorn of Choctaw, OK and Marla (Bill) Bates of Paris, IL; grandchildren, Christie Easterly of Tula, OK, Brian Rundus of Oklahoma City, OK, Justin Rundus of Broomfield, CO, Kristin Ersteniuk of Fayettville, Arkansas, Stacie Slaton of Blanchard, OK, Jennifer Alcorn of Midwest City, OK, Michelle Modglin of Mt. Vernon, IL, LeaAnn Modglin of Marshall, Cheri Tucker of Carbondale, IL and Brian Allen Stutesman of Oblong, IL; several great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; three brothers, H.L. Hollingsworth, Victor Hollingsworth and Harold Hollingsworth all of Marshall and a sister, Faye Baggs of Marshall. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Hollingsworth and Ray Hollingsworth; two sisters, Fairy Higginbotham and Carrie B. Ogle; a grandson, Jeff Tucker; a granddaughter, Cristeda Alcorn; great grandson, Levi Modglin and a son-in-law, Roger Modglin.
Ezra served this nation in the US Army during the Korean War and was a member VFW Post #5975. He had worked construction for many years, was a member of the Carpenters Local and was a member of the Illinois Thoroughbred Association.
Services in honor of his life will be 11:00 AM Saturday at Pearce Funeral Home with Keith Wallace officiating. Burial will be in the Livingston Cemetery with military graveside rites.
