Fenton E. "Diz" Finkbiner, 87, of Marshall, IL passed away 6:45 PM Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2016 in the Burnsides Community Care Center at Marshall.
He retired from the Fred Barth Ford of Marshall in 1991.
Diz was born Aug. 11, 1928 in Marshall, IL, the son of Chris and Louise Hartzler Finkbiner. He married Waneda Macke on June 25, 1952 at Marshall and she preceded him in death on June 17, 2013. Surviving are nieces and nephews, Gary Finkbiner of Ft. Lupton, CO, Dee Hoopingarner of Hutsonville, IL, Tammy Cooper of Marshall, IL, Atwood Finkbiner of West Union, IL and Billy Finkbiner of Marshall, IL and many other relatives. He was preceded in death by two brothers, John Finkbiner and Billy Dean Finkbiner.
He was a member of the First Christian Church and had served this nation as a CPL in US Army during the Korean War. His main focus was on his wife, Waneda and he loved to drive, make fudge and visit with family.
Services in honor of his life will be 2:30 PM Friday at Pearce Funeral Home with Bro. John Cutshall officiating. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery with military graveside rites. Visitation will be 12:30 to 2:30 PM Friday at the funeral home. For those desiring memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church.
