Foster J. Duncan, 77, of Marshall, IL, formerly of Platteville, WS, passed away 3:30 PM Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012 in the Casey Health Care Center at Casey, IL. He was born Jan. 22, 1934 at Beetown, WS, the son of Clyde Duncan and Edna Mildred Foster Duncan. On May 16, 1956 he married his high school sweetheart, Jean Anne Hill at Dubuque, IA. Surviving are his wife, Jean Anne of Marshall, IL; a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Leon Tomasino of Marshall, IL; a son and daughter-in-law, Neal and Maria Duncan of Cave Creek, AZ; five grandchildren, Benjamin Tomasino, Rachel Tomasino, Elizabeth Tomasino, Isabella Duncan and Sara Duncan and his siblings, Iva Accola of E. Dubuque, IL, Wahnita Tracy of Brownsville, TX, Leo Duncan of Grape Vine, TX, Monroe Duncan of Apple River, IL, Wanda Bartow of Lancaster, WS and David Duncan of Madison, WS. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy Duncan and Clay Duncan and two sisters, Mavis Knight and Oliva Droullard. He had formerly been employed by the Dubuque Packing Co. and had later been employed in the trucking industry. After moving to Marshall he worked at the TRW facility in Marshall. An avid sports fan, he was a member of the 700 Bowling Club at Plattevlle, WS and was a football enthusiast. He had also been a trainer of Standard bred race horses. Service in honor of his life will be 3:30 PM Saturday at Melby Funeral Home at Platteville, WS. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery.
