Frances Elene (Hall) Cooper, 85, of Martinsville, IL passed away January 16, 2016 in Casey Health Care Center at Casey, IL.
She was born Aug. 26, 1930 at Moonshine of Orange Twp., Clark co., IL, the daughter of Edwin and Edna Johnson Hall. She married Haold L. Cooper on Aug. 4, 1947 at Bloomington, IL and he preceded her in death in June 13, 2009. Frances is survived by two sons, Harold W. (Melinda) Cooper of Center Point, IN and W. Robert (Linda) Cooper of Peoria, IL; five grandchildren and a foster sister, Janette (Jack) Ziegler of Marshall. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Edwin Lee Hall. She was a foster daughter of many families in Clark County, G.W. & Leota Gibson, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bierbaum, Mr. and Mrs. Milo Pearce, Alice Marie Siverly, to name a few.
She retired from TRW in Marshall after 32 years of service. She worked alongside of her husband operating a trash removal service for many years and was co-owner of Woodlawn Polled Herefords since 1951. She enjoyed many years of square dancing in many parts of the Midwest. She and Harold participated in the 19th National Square Dance Convention in Louisville, KY in 1970 and enjoyed many years of team bowling.
Services in honor of her life will be 11:00 AM Saturday at Pearce Funeral Home with Bro. John Cutshall officiating. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:00 AM Saturday. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church of Marshall.
