Frances Joan (nee Wyrick) Auld, 88, of Ballwin, MO passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2020. Joan was born June 18, 1931 in Clark County, IL, the daughter of George Dewey and Margaret Horsley Wyrick. Joan was a graduate of Marshall High School. She married Stanley Dean Auld on July 25, 1953 in Marshall, IL. She is survived by her daughter Sandra (Auld) Beaird and her husband Michael of Chesterfield, MO; her son Michael Auld and his wife Debra of Milford, OH; three granddaughters, Amanda Beaird (David) Amoroso of Bordentown, NJ, Lauren Auld (Robert) Capozza of Cincinnati, OH and Alyssa Auld (Joseph) Meyer of Ellisville, MO; six great-grandchildren, Amelia Amoroso, Evan and Wesley Capozza and Stanley, Evelyn and Henry Meyer. She is also survived by two sisters, Irene Raubuck of Terre Haute, IN and Betty Stafford of Marshall, IL and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Joan was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years Stanley, her parents, her brother Charles David Wyrick, her mother and father-in-law, one sister-in-law, four brothers-in-law, two nephews and two nieces. Joan was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. Her greatest joys were her faith and family. She and her husband were long time members of Bethel Baptist Church in St. Louis, MO and Mineola Baptist Church in Mineola, MO where she taught children’s Sunday School and sang in the choir. Upon their return to St. Louis, Joan and Stan were members of Ballwin Baptist Church (now The Rock Church of Ballwin). Joan retired as a secretary from Emerson Electric Company where she was beloved by co-workers for her pleasant demeanor, strong work ethic and attention to detail. The funeral service in Joan’s honor will be held on Saturday, February 22nd at 2:00 PM at Pearce Funeral Home, 314 S. 6th St., Marshall, IL with Rev. Adam Penn officiating. Visitation will be 12:30 to 2:00 PM also on Saturday. Interment will be held at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Martinsville, IL.
