Frederick L. Kuhn III, 69, of Marshall, IL passed away 10:05 PM Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018 in the emergency room of Regional Hospital following a motorcycle and deer collision in Edgar Co., IL. Fred was a retired dairy and agriculture farmer. He loved farming, riding his motorcycle and trulyh loved being with his kids and grandkids. He was born May 10, 1949 at Terre Haute, IN, the son of Frederick L. Kuhn II and Charlene Miller Kuhn. He married Janet E. Roman on Aug. 25, 1973 at Terre Haute, IN and she preceded him in death on May 28, 2007. Surviving are his children, Shelby (Michael) Miles of Center Point, IN, Frederick L. Kuhn IV and Abby (Michael) Murphy both of Marshall, IL; grandchildren, Chloe Miles, Frederick L. Kuhn V, Emmalynn Murphy and Landyn Murphy; his girlfriend, Barbara Troxel; his siblings, Janet A. (Carol Boyd-Kuhn) of Indianapolis, IN, Dr. William (Rene) Kuhn and Karmen Kuhn both of Marshall, IL. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents. Fred served this nation in the US Army during the Viet Nam War. He was a member and past commander of Clark Co. Post #90 of the American Legion, VFW Post #5975 and the 40 & 8. He was also a member of A.B.A.T.E., member and board member of the Clark Co. Farm Bureau and had served as trustee for Wabash Twp. Services in honor of his life will be 10:00 AM Friday at Pearce Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Duke officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the group he faithfully participated with of Clark Co. Post #90 of the American Legion and VFW Post #5975. Visitation will be 3-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given directly to his family so determination can be made at a later date for distribution.
