Harry Dean Remlinger, 82, of Marshall, IL passed away 9:45 AM Monday, March 16, 2015 in the Burnsides Community Health Center at Marshall.
He was born March 8, 1933 in Clark Co., IL, the son of Gailord and Stella Higgins Remlinger. In June of 1969 he married Bonnie Edgin of St. Francisville, IL and she preceded him in death on August 25, 2011.
Harry a life time resident of Marshall retired after 28 years of employment at E. Rowe Foundry at Martinsville, IL. Harry and Bonnie were involved for several years as volunteers at the Food and Clothing Center and the Come and Share program. He enjoyed working in the garden, mushroom hunting and his animals, family and friends.
He is survived by a sister, Lucille Dodd of Robinson, IL; a brother, Clarence Remlinger of Lawrenceville, IL and one daughter, Katherine Remlinger Hollingsworth and her husband, Austin of Marshall; two grandsons Seth and Jeremiah Hollingsworth of Marshall, IL as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Dale Remlinger, Fredrick Remlinger and Jack Remlinger and two sister, Irene Thompson and Louise Ellington.
Services in honor of life will be 12 Noon Thursday at Pearce Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Burress officiating. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
