Jack Richard Logan Sr, 79, of Marshall, IL passed away 5:11 PM Sunday, July 16, 2017 in Methodist Hospital at Indianapolis, IN. He was a retired Supt. for the Midwestern Gas Line Transmission. Jack was born Oct. 2, 1937 at Isola, MS, the son of Richard Benjamin and Harriett Petty Logan. He married Polly Taylor on August 30, 1957 in Isola, MS. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Bennie Sue Logan. Surviving are his wife, Polly; two sons, Jack R. (Sharon) Logan Jr. of Watkinsville, GA and Mark (Linda) Logan of Athens, GA; his grandchildren, Charlie Logan, Henry Logan, Maggie Logan and Bobby Logan; three sisters, Janie Moor of Greenwood, MS, Connie McClelland of Dallas, TX and Joyce Jarrett of Greenwood, MS and two brothers, Tom Logan of Houston, TX and Terry Logan of Greenwood, MS. He was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church of Marshall and served his community by participating in the Lunch Buddy Program. Jack also loved to golf. Services in honor of his life will be 11:00 AM Thursday at Pearce Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Lewis officiating. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery.
