James Dee Poorman, 52, of Murray, KY, formerly of Marshall, IL passed away Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2020 at his home. He was born June 1, 1968 at Terre Haute, IN, the son of Albert Dean and Grace Sharp Poorman. On May 16, 1992 he married Pamela Douglas at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Marshall. Surviving are his wife of over 28 years, Pam; three daughters, Heather Feltner, Cheyenne Poorman and Abriana Poorman; a grandchild, Lyla Matthews; three brothers, Douglas Poorman, David Poorman and Joe Poorman and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Greg. He dedicated his life to serving his country for almost 32 years in the U.S. Army as an E-6, while serving overseas on several deployments. He loved NASCAR, NHRA, and golfing. When he was younger he loved working on cars and later in life he loved gardening. He was always willing to help neighbors when they were in need. A walk through visitation will be 3:00 to 6:00 PM Saturday at Pearce Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date.
