James Randall “Randy” Washburn, 50, of Cloverdale, IN and formerly of Marshall, passed away at 5:13 a.m. EST on Wednesday, July 18, 2018. He battled Huntington’s Disease for several years. Randy was born on December 11, 1967, to Joseph E. Washburn and Ruth Bush Vansant Washburn. Prior to becoming ill, Randy had worked in the construction industry and most recently as a prison security guard. Randy is survived by two brothers, Joe (Debby) Washburn of Marshall and Ben Washburn of St. Robert, Missouri; one sister, Frances (Gary) Porter of Paris; six nieces and ten nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Mike Vansant, Roger Vansant and Don Washburn. A private service has been planned for family and friends. Pearce Funeral Home is assisting with those arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Randy’s name to the Huntington’s Disease Society of America.
