Jeannette Troxel went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 13, 2012 after a lengthy battle of heart complications. Jeannette was born on August 20, 1953 in Woodbury, NJ, to Woodrow and Elizabeth Getty Land. Jeannette grew up and raised a family in New Jersey until moving to Marshall in 1993. She worked at IGA and the Burnsides Community Health Center for more than 10 years. Jeannette enjoyed going to bingo, dining out and shopping with friends, reading and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by both of her parents; a sister, Alberta MaGee and her son, Leonard Troxel She is survived by her daughter, Candy (Mark Baker) Platt of Terre Haute, IN; a son, Jeff Troxel of Winston-Salem, NC,; daughter-in-law, Dorcas Troxel of Oklahoma; six sisters, Luren Eller of NJ, Margaret Carr of NJ, Debrah Kohrherr of NJ, Bernadine Berger of NC, Shiela Cogdill of NJ and Linda Leal of OK; four brothers, Rodrick Land of NJ, William Land of OK, Robert Land of NJ and Edward Land of IN; grandchildren, Kenny (Ciera Prouse) Platt, Kevin Platt, Ashely (Nick Sipkay) Troxel and Caisey Troxel; great grandchildren, Joslynne and Kaydin Sipkay and baby-to-be Platt and services nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held 7:00 PM Wednesday at Pearce Funeral Home with visitation prior the services from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday.
