Joshua A. Hammond, 37, of Marshall, IL passed away Friday, June 29, 2018 following a battle with cancer. Josh was an electrician and a member of Local #725. He loved his occupation. He was born March 5, 1981 at Paris, IL, the son of Jesse and Gloria Trover Hammond. He married Brittani Thompson on July 10, 2004. Surviving are his wife, Brittani; their children, Hadley Hammond and Easton Hammond; his parents Jesse and Gloria Hammond of Martinsville; siblings, Stephanie England of Martinsville and Christopher Hammond and his fiancee' Craig Harris of CA; his mother-in-law and her husband, Wendy and Tod McClure of Ridgefarm, IL; sister-in-law and her husband, Nikki and Jason Clark of Marshall; brother-in-law, Zack Thompson of Marshall; nieces and nephews, Jocelyn England, Krissa England, Conor Littleton and his fiancee’ Brianna Buckallew, Kannon Clark, Macy Clark, Mya Clark and Cloe Thompson and a future great niece who will share his middle name, Kinley Adams Littleton and a ton of friends. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, James Thompson, and the grandmother he knew, Anna Trover. Having been raised in Martinsville, Josh was a graduate of Martinsville High School and received an Associates Degree from Lincoln Trail College. He was a member of the Masons, Clark County Shrine Club and the Ainad Shrine Temple. Josh loved to hunt and camp, but more importantly he loved to do anything with his kids. Services in honor of his life will be 10:00 AM Friday at Pearce Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery at Martinsville. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Thursday and prior services on Friday. A Masonic service will be at 8:00 PM.
