Joyce was born June 1, 1940 in Robinson, IL, the daughter of Loyd and Hazel Peterson Franklin, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married to Stanley Kraemer in 1958. She has two children, Stanley Ray (Judy) Kraemer and Kelly Lewis (Kelly Hall), of Terre Haute, IN and a granddaughter, Darcy Lynn Kraemer (Crystal Markum), of Davenport, IA. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Adam Kraemer, Terre Haute, IN and four brothers, Raymond, Robinson, IL, Floyd Louis, Fort White, FL, John Martin Yucaipa, CA, Charles Wm., High Springs, FL, and a sister, Dorothy Osborn, Robinson, IL. She is survived by three sisters, her twin, JoAnn Lamaar, Carmel, IN, Helen Louis Tucker, Robinson, IL and Carolyn Hamilton, Newburgh, IN and several nieces and nephews. Joyce retired from Marathon in 2005 and then worked at the Robinson Public Library from 2006 to 2021. She was a member of Highland Church of Christ and a member and officer of the Crawford Memorial Hospital Auxiliary for eight years, serving six years as an officer, three years as President. Joyce loved animals and could be seen most morning walking her little dog at the city park when she resided in Robinson. The family would like to thank Willow Brook Memory Care for their exceptional care and love shown to our Mother as well as Transitions Hospice. Services in honor of her life will be 11:00 AM Monday, July 27th at Pearce Funeral Home. Visitation will be one-hour prior services. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery.
