Martinsville, IL Juanita E. Hutchens, 81, of Martinsville, IL passed away 4:55 PM Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014 in the Burnsides Community Care Center at Marshall.
She was born Oct. 19, 1933 at Terre Haute, IN, the daughter of Clarence Otto Wilson and Isabell Lucille Myles Wilson. She married Donald E. Hutchens on June 4, 1951 at Martinsville, IL.
Surviving are her husband, Donald E.; three sons, Michael E. (Karen) Hutchens of Martinsville, IL, Charles F. Hutchens of Martinsville, Il and Kenneth A. (Lynn) Hutchens of Marshall, IL; grandchildren, Hillary (Jeremy) Deckard, Justin Hutchens, Jenny (Jacob) Francis, Cheyenne Hutchens and Brandon (Brandie) Hutchens; great grandchildren, Lilly Deckard, Layla Deckard, Gabriel Deckard, Kaiden Hutchens and Charlee Jo Francis; a niece, Laura Lee (Edward) Puls; great niece, Lisa Marie (James) Huberty; great great Niece, Genevieve Huberty and a great great nephew, Jack Edward Huberty. She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Debra Hutchens; grandson, Josh Hutchens and a brother, Clarence Otto "Bob" Wilson.
She had attended both the Martinsville Methodist Church and the Martinsville Baptist Church. Juanita had provided music to many area church's and various functions through the years. She was a member of Clark County Home Extension. Juanita was a self taught and accomplished genealogist. She had traced the Hutchens family to 1515, the Collier family to 1616 and the Myles family to 1608.
Services in honor of her life will be 10:00 AM Monday at Pearce Funeral Home in Marshall with Pastor Billie Ray Ulrey officiating. Burial will be in the Auburn Cemetery at Clark Center. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Sunday and 7:00 AM until service time Monday at the funeral home. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Awareness.
