Julianna (Juli) (Thompson) Lycan, 60, passed away peacefully at 4:50 AM, Saturday, December 9, 2023. She was in her home, surrounded by her husband, mother, four children and her dog, Layla, as she went home to be with Jesus. Juli was born to Jim and Janet Thompson on September 5, 1963 at South Bend, IN. Their family moved to Evansville, IN in 1971 where Juli went to school until her Junior year of high school before moving to Marshall where she graduated in 1981. Juli was a hard worker and worked as a book keeper for many years. Working for Larry Woodard Accounting, Lincoln Trail Chrysler and Little John Grain Co. She was extremely intelligent with a passion for numbers and for her work. Juli enjoyed Lake of the Ozark vacations with her family for many years, riding around town in the golf cart with her best friend Tammy and visiting her Evansville friends for dinners and get togethers. She loved and looked forward to holidays and birthday parties with her kids and grandkids. She loved having everyone in the same place and the same time. Above all was her love and passion for her children and grandchildren. She raised her four children to be honest and hardworking and was so proud of the people they grew to be. She was known to brag on them often to friends and even strangers. Juli is survived by her husband, Bryan Lycan; her four children, Amanda (Logan) Goldsberry, Tieriney (Jeremy) Mock, Bailey (Cole) Rice and Carter (Alathia) Lycan. Her 11 grandchildren; Saige Harper, Ben Harper, Beau Goldsberry, Kip Goldsberry, Blake Mock, Brooke Mock, Clay Mock, Lincoln Rice, Ledger Rice, Tucker Lycan and Dean Lycan. Also surviving is her mother, Janet Thompson and her 6 siblings: Jeff, Jamie, Joni, Jon, Jeanne, Judye, and many nieces and nephews. Juli was preceded in death by her father, Jim Thompson in Dec. of 2022. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday, Dec. 14th with a service in honor of her life starting at 7:00 PM at Pearce Funeral Home. Pastor Tim Duke will officiate.
