Kenneth Eugene "Kenny" Parsons, 62, of Marshall, IL passed away Monday, November 3, 2014 at his home.

He was formerly a mechanic and had also salvage dealer. He was born June 28, 1952 in Vigo County, IN, the son of Paul O. Parsons and Norma Jean Collins Parsons. He was married to Mary Turner Parsons in 1971 who preceded him in death on July 20, 2014.

Surviving are a daughter, Norma Reed of Marshall, IL; a son, Kenneth Parsons Jr. of Marshall, IL; three grandchildren, Alexas Reed, Paul Parsons and Eli Jackson; a sister, Diane Irene Singer of West Terre Haute, IN; three brothers, Ernest Duane Parsons of West Terre Haute, IN, Charles Wayne Parsons of West Terre Haute, IN and Robert V. Parsons of Marshall, IL and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Parsons.

He served this nation in the US Army during the Viet Nam War. Services in honor of his life will be 2:00 PM Thursday at Pearce Funeral Home in Marshall with Pastor Joe Irwin officiating. Military rites will be provided by VFW Post #5975 and Clark Co. Post #90 in recognition of the service he provided to this country.
