Larry Alan Schwab, formerly of Marshall, Illinois, and a longtime resident of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. He will be remembered as a devoted father, beloved brother, cherished grandfather, and treasured friend. Larry is survived by his loving daughter, Amanda (Michael) Higgins of Vidalia, Georgia. He was a proud grandfather to Kyle (Brittney) Boyd of North Dakota and a great-grandfather to Avery, Lilly, and Ryker, all of North Dakota. Larry’s surviving siblings include Kathy (Chuck) Jackley and Mary Schwab, both of Terre Haute, Indiana, and Gary (Missy) Schwab of Texas. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Jessica Dawn Schwab; his grandson, Brenden Avery; his parents, Ernest and Nancy Schwab; and his brother, Brad Schwab. Larry’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Larry’s life was marked by family bonds, resilience, and kindness. He found joy in the simple moments and left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Larry’s spirit will continue to inspire his family and friends, reminding us of the importance of love, laughter, and togetherness. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Monday, August 13th in the Ridge Lawn Cemetery at Martinsville, IL with Pastor Tim Duke officiating. Military graveside rites will be provided by Clark Co.
