Larry John Washburn, 70, of Princeton, IN, formerly of Marshall, IL passed away Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012 in Deaconess Hospital at Evansville, IL. He was born July 27, 1942 at Marshall, IL, the son of H. Edward and Ruth Sanders Washburn. His first wife, Emma Marie Washburn preceded him in death in 1985 and his second wife Linda Washburn preceded in him death in 2009. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Washburn and two sisters, Phyllis McDaniel and Sally Ferris. He was retired from Public Service Indiana, now Duke Energy where he was a unit operator. He had lived in Gibson County, IN since 1975. He had attended the Marshall Baptist Church in Marshall, IL. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Patoka, IN, Scottish Rite, Hadi Shrine and Sons of the American Legion. Surviving are his children, Larry J. Washburn Jr. of Princeton, IN, Tony A. (Millie) Washburn of Princeton, IN, Rhonda L. (Robbie) Ort of Ft. Branch, IN, Jim Piekarski of Dallas, TX, Patrick Piekarski of Detroit, MI; a sister, Ruby Goodwin of Danville, IL; 12 grandchildren, Jeffrey Sisson, Courtney and Hunter Washburn, Robbie, Andrea, Johnnie and Taylor Ort, Alissa, Zach, Lacey, Ryan and Haley Piekarski. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Pearce Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Friday at Colvin Funeral Home at Princeton, IN and 12 Noon until service time Saturday at Pearce Funeral Home in Marshall.
