Lelia B. Talley, 88, of Marshall, IL passed away 2:40 PM Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013 in Union Hospital at Terre Haute, IN. She was retired from Western Union. She was born August 31, 1925 at Paris, IL, the daughter of Benjamin Harrison Waymire and Mary Combs Waymire. Surviving are two daughters, Robin Talley and her companion, Randy Nicholson of Marshall and Mary Talley Brown and her husband, Les of Palm Coast, FL; two grandchildren, Mark Denny and his wife Jenny and Stacie Denny Girard and her boyfriend, Matt Beck and a great grandchild, Kalia Belle Girard and one of the way, a baby boy, Liam Beck. She was preceded in death by three brothres, Robert, Benjamin and Lester and ahalf sister, Sarah Waymire Combes.. She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church of Paris, IL, the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post #5975, and the Burnsides Community Health Care Center Residents Council. She loved to fly, enjoyed birds and animals and enjoyed helping others. She had been active with the Marshall Food and Clothing Bank and was a graduate of Paris High School. Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Monday in the Shaw Chapel of Burnsides Community Health Care Center. Burial will be at a later date in the Marshall Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 9:00 AM Monday at the chapel. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Marshall Food and Clothing Bank.
