Lester E. Litteral, 90, of Terre Haute, IN and formerly of Marshall, IL passed away 11:32 PM Friday, October 4, 2019 in Harrison Crossing at Terre Haute, IN. He had served as Clark County Sheriff and Clark County Clerk for several terms. Les was born on April 14, 1929 in Clark County, IL, the son of William and Carrie Sheets Litteral. In addition to his parents he was was preceded in death by his first wife, Lucille on Nov. 1, 1973 and his second wife, Lenora June on April 8, 2010. He was additionally preceded in death by two sisters, Thelma Stanfield and Lavena Murphy, brothers, John , Floyd, Harlen, Hobart and a grandson, Corey Low. Surviving are his two children, Jim (Cheryl) Litteral of Brisbane, Australia and Debbie (Larry) Reimer of Terre Haute, IN; step-daughters, Nancy (Ron) Anderson of St. Peters, MO and Martha Mansfield of Chatham IL; grandchildren, Dennis Low and Brian Long of Indianapolis, IN, Kendall Reimer of Terre Haute, IN, Erika (Kyle) Carson of Sarasota, FL, Stephanie (Jono) Bailey of Phnom Penh Cambodia, Megan (GW) Hamilton of St. Peters, MO; great grandchildren, Azaria and Levi Bailey and Lydia and Gavin Hamilton and several nieces and nephews. Les served this nation in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of Clark Co. Post #90 of the American Legion. Services in honor of his life will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at Pearce Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Duke officiating. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery with military graveside rites provided by VFW Post #5975 and Clark Co. Post #90 of the American Legion.
