Lora "Lorine" Pearce, nee Snyder, of Marshall, IL passed away Saturday, April 7, 2012 of natural causes at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Dennis Jones in St. Louis, MO where she had resided for the past 2 years. She was born December 30, 1917 at Martinsville, IL, the daughter of Frank Snyder and Vera Darr Snyder. She married Lloyd Eugene "Doc" Pearce on October 10, 1937 and he preceded her in death on April 15, 1988 after 51 years of marriage. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Otho "Buzz" Waldo Snyder and a step-brother, Dencil "DeDe" Snyder. Lorine graduated from Martinsville High School in 1934. She was a member of the Marshall First United Methodist Church and Eastern Star for more than 50 years and was a 4-H leader for 10 years. Lorine worked in the Clark Co. Circuit Clerk's office before acquiring her Real Estate Broker's license and founded Pearce Realty of Marshall in 1965. She was a member of the Illinois Realtors Association. She is survived by her beloved daughters and their husbands, Judith Ann and Dennis Jones of St. Louis, MO and Martha Jane and Daniel Webster of Avon, IN; grandchildren , Judith "Denise" Franz and her husband, Drew and their two daughters, Dennis "Matthew" Jones Jr. and his wife Chrissie and their son and grandson all of St. Louis, MO, Daniel William Webster and his wife Jennifer and their son, Tabb Xavier Webster and his daughter and grandson, Melissa Ann Webster VanBibber and husband Chris and their daughters of Indianapolis, IN and Deborah Jane Webster Jagger and her husband Brian and their daughter of Los Angeles, CA. Lorine had all the joy of 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren that could be brought into her life. Services in honor of her life will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at Pearce Funeral Home, 314 S 6th St., Marshall, IL. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery.
