Margaret “Peggy” Virginia Malloy Morris was born September 12, 1933 in Marshall, IL, to Joseph and Virginia McClure Malloy. She passed on July 10, 2025 in her home. Peggy graduated from Marshall High School and attended both St. Mary of the Woods and Indiana State University. Peggy worked as a dental assistant before she married Jack Morrison in 1954 and started her family of five children. She later married James Morris in 1973 and added four stepchildren to her family. She was proceeded in death by her husband James Morris and sisters Patty Kasemeyer and Tatty Literall. She is survived by children Michael Morrison; Beth Morrison (Odis Long); Amy (Bud) Davidson. Preceded in death by daughters, Julia Kelly and Margaret Mason. Survived by grandchildren, Megan (Darrell) Johnson; Michael Morrison and Jenny Cuffle; Shasta (Jake) Orman; Matthew Morrison and Leigha Starkey; Alex (Malerie) Mason; Jacob (Amber) Kelly. Preceded in death by grandson, Lucas Kelly. Survived by stepchildren, Patterson Morris, Jill Morris and Heather (David) Figlioli. Preceded in death by stepson, Christopher Morris. Survived by step grandchildren, Dietra Long; Odis Long; J.C. (Nayma) Morris; Molli Wagoner; Francesca, Joseph and Vincent Figlioli. Also survived by great- grandchildren Leah, Rosie, Micah and Luka Morrison; Tyree Cuffle; Mika and Mason Johnson; Lexi Mason; Kyle and Chloe Starkey and Kayden Goodwin; Jacob Lucas Kelly. Survived by step grandchildren, Ashly (Seth) Chilton; Hank Orman; Gordon, Margot, Henrik Morris and great-great-grandchild Carson Chilton. Peggy was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Antique Study Club and was an avid Bridge player. She was proud of her Irish heritage and enjoyed cooking, collecting antiques and restoring her home. She also enjoyed socializing, community events and traveling. Peggy was curious about people and places alike. Peggy loved her family and took pride in hosting all of the family gatherings with extravagant meals and themed decorations. She will be remembered for her delicious cooking, her sense of humor and her “Doll” house. Visitation will be held at Pearce Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 from 10a.m.-12p.m. The funeral will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 12 p.m. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetary.
